Five Step Tutorial for a ‘no-makeup’ Makeup Look

Glowing skin is by all means not an easy task, no matter your job – when you’re an accountant, a doctor, a university student, or a stay-at-home mom. In the fast-paced life of the 21st century, you barely get time to take care of your skin. However, we’ve developed a makeup guide that takes a few makeup items and tricks to enjoy that feeling of healthy, glowing skin. Celebrity makeup artists swear by this method; follow it exactly how it is, and we promise you won’t be disappointed.

Step#1 Apply a Glowy Foundation
To keep in line with the natural glowing skin idea, use a foundation that offers luminosity, is lightweight, and blends well into your skin. The Just For You Foundation by MICA Beauty can be customized to check all these boxes. Take small amounts and do not use a lot of foundation at once; remember, we want to make things look all-natural and glowy.

Step#2 Conceal and Contour
We’re going to use a concealer a shade or two lighter than our skin tone and a bronzer one shade darker than our skin tone. The reason for this color difference is to create dimension and to direct light to the face so that it looks lit from within. The concealer goes at the high points of your face, the middle of your forehead, the hairline and jawline, the eyes, the brow bones, and the bridge of your nose.
Contour by marking along the area under your cheekbones and then blending well. Do the same at the sides of the nose, along the hairline, and jawline.

Step#3 Use a natural-looking Blush
After you’re satisfied with how minimal yet great your foundation looks, add some color to your cheeks. Pick a color that’s close to your actual color on the cheeks. Smile and apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend outwards in the direction of your temples. We have some amazing powder blushes, and Wild Rose is my favorite.

Step#4 Pick up your shimmer Highlighter
It’s time to highlight! Remember that when working with a highlighter, less is more, and when it’s a shimmer highlighter, you know how much care we need to put in while applying it. It could easily make you look like a disco ball, and there’s no coming back except doing it all over. We recommend a shimmer highlighter because it contributes to the glowy makeup look we want to create by deflecting light and making us shine. Apply a highlighter to the center of your forehead, nose, and a bit over your cheekbones. If you are looking for an awesome Highlighter that doesn’t break your bank, look at the Glow Squad Highlighter.

Step#5 Lock everything in with a Setting Spray
Now is the time to seal in all the hard work you did to create that gleaming complexion and see all the heads turn! 2-3 spritzes of a setting spray, and you’re good to go. You could also use a translucent powder here instead of a setting spray if you have oily or combination skin.

Voila! Your natural and glowy look is ready!!! Let us know your thoughts about this little makeup tutorial in the comments below! 🙂
